Warts happen when the human papilloma virus enters via cracks within the skin. A tough protein, keratin, released by the virus makes the skin grow too quick thus forming the wart. Warts mostly happen on the hands and feet. Most of the time warts will go away by themselves but occasionally a sufferer will get numerous warts that spread. You need to not scratch or pick at warts due to the fact they're contagious and this makes them spread.
